PJ Clarke’s

Great place for a pre or post performance cocktail served by an old-school bartender (although it gets really crowded), but we’d suggest going somewhere else to eat.

Empire Hotel

This spacious rooftop bar has great views but the outrageously expensive drinks, ambivalent servers, rude bouncers and extremely loud music totally turned us off.

Riposo 72

Great atmosphere, great wines and great flatbreads!  We’d recommend the Prosciutto di Parma or the Wild Mushroom.  Maybe start with the Skirt Steak Bruschetta too.

Emerald Inn

An unpretentious and old-school neighborhood bar when everyone is treated like a regular.  Aside from the beer, the food is awesome – try the burger or the meatloaf (when available).

Machavelle Bar and Lounge

Come for happy hour and you’ll enjoy delicious mojitos and sangria for $5.  You’ll need a cold drink, or two, to put out the fire after having a few Jerk Chicken Wings.

Brooklyn Tavern

A true neighborhood watering hole that never gets out of hand – especially in their quaint backyard.  Come on Tuesday night’s for cheap drinks, free pizza and Trivia!

Hank’s Saloon

An unapologetically dark and dank dive bar!  Don’t let the outward appearance scare you off…the bartenders are friendly, the drinks stiff and cheap and the live music is free.

Frank’s Cocktail Lounge

We love the split personality of this place – enjoy stiff drinks and sexy jazz downstairs, or head upstairs for equally stiff drinks and bumpin’ hip-hop.

Banc Cafe

This is a great place to come for a rockin’ Brunch (try the goat cheese scrambled egg wrap) or come for a low key drink and some great music.

Terroir Wine Bar

The excellent staff here will help you pick out the best wine to go with your oxtail risotto, bone marrow, fried chicken and duck and stinky cheese sandwich.

Waterfront Ale House

Don’t let the dark exterior dissuade you from coming in an enjoying a few beers and a delicious Ostrich Burger and Sweet Potato Fries or the Moroccan Stew.

Pine Tree Lodge

If you’re into taxidermy and cheap happy hour beers served by attractive and friendly bartenders in a very chill and quiet atmosphere, than this is your new home!

Paddy Reilly's

This is a great place to sit and drink a few pints of Guinness while listening to excellent bluegrass music on a Sunday or Monday evening.  It never gets too crowded except on St. Patrick’s Day!

Whiskey River

This is just like your college dive bar, with cheap buckets of PBR, Big Buck Hunter, Beer Pong and bartenders that won’t let you leave in a less than intoxicated state.

Failte

We love the great selection of top-notch scotch, the friendly quick-fire bartenders and the delicious Irish Sausages or the “Irish Toastie.”
