Riviera Grill & Sushi

One of the best restaurants around – start with an Oyster Shooter and then try the Sweetbreads.  Ask your waiter for the daily specials or off menu dishes and order those.

New York Fencing Academy

Want a great workout, then sign up for a few classes at this awesome school.  The instructors are great and all levels are welcome.   Especially good for your kids.

Cha Cha’s of Coney Island

We’re fans of their tacos, the eclectic mix of people, the live music (or, if you’re lucky, the Freak Show) and the frozen drinks.  Spend too much time here and you won’t remember a thing.

Ruby’s

Grab a seat on the boardwalk and enjoy amazing people watching and cold beer.  Or, pay tribute to this Coney institution and enjoy a cold beer inside with the friendly bartender.

Primorski Restaurant

Authentically Russian and authentically kitschy.  We love the live entertainment, the Beet Salad and the Red Caviar Crepes.  As night falls, this place gets packed with locals.

Footprints

Friday and Saturday nights you’ll be entertained with live music while you enjoy your order of Rasta Pasta and a stiffly poured cocktail.

Department of Motor Vehicles – Coney Island

Better than the one on Atlantic Avenue, but still not the most fun way to spend your time.   Afterwards, go ride the Cyclone – it will alleviate your stress and put a smile on your face.

Berlyn

Great place to go before or after a show at BAM!  Start with a Schwartzwald Spritz, add a Liptauer, then a Labskaus and finish with a Nutella Pretzel Pie.

Pequena

Sit out on the veranda and enjoy a delicious lunch of chicken enchiladas for only 8 dollars! Make it a true siesta and have a cold beer or a potent margarita!

No. 7

If you have a hankering for an incredible sandwich, then you must order the Pork Loin with a side of French Fries with Balsamic Mayo.  It goes nicely with a Pauly Shore.

Aqualis Grill

A cute and romantic spot to enjoy delicious Greek seafood.  Start with the fava bean dip, grilled calamari and then definitely order the swordfish steak.

Machavelle Bar and Lounge

Come for happy hour and you’ll enjoy delicious mojitos and sangria for $5.  You’ll need a cold drink, or two, to put out the fire after having a few Jerk Chicken Wings.

Marine’s Coffee Shop

One of the best places in the neighborhood to get pork with rice and beans!  The staff are friendly and quick and they do not skimp on the portions.

La Flor Del Paraiso Bar

The food here can be hit or miss…but when it’s on, it’s ON.  Try the Roast Pork or the Mexican Combo.  Be fore warned…delivery might get lost on its way to you.

Maimonide of Brooklyn

This is a vegetarian’s dream!  We’re in love with their Kale Chips and all of their MOBs – especially the Iron Man and the Brave Heart.
