Marine’s Coffee Shop

One of the best places in the neighborhood to get pork with rice and beans!  The staff are friendly and quick and they do not skimp on the portions.

Oren's Daily Roast

Smooth, rich and flavorful coffee that’s best paired with any of the pastries (delivered daily from Balthazar).  Never as crowded as that “other” coffee shop.

Grace Street

When they re-open in May 2012, you have to stop in and get a delicious Green Tea Latte with an AMAZING ho-dduk!

Zebulon

Enjoy an avant garde musical performance at this tiny and authentic European café.  The drinks and food are reasonable, but it can get really crowded on the weekends.

Mojo Coffee

Fell like your stepping into the Pacific Northwest in this wood-lined coffee shop!  It’s a great place to study and enjoy cup of joe.  It’s cash only and gets pretty crowded.

Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee

A cozy and relaxed coffee house serving a damn good cappuccino and a delicious PB&J.  You should also try their homemade cookies, although they’re a bit expensive.

La Maison Du Chocolat

Stop in for a divine eclair and a cup of the luxurious Caracas Hot Chocolate.

Macaron Café

Besides the delicious Macarons (we love the Rose & Lychee), we also love the strong Coffee, the delicious Salad Nicoise and the Siciliano Baguette.  Check out the daily specials.

TriBeCafe

Find this hidden café – look for a small wooden door and sign – and be rewarded with a delicious Japanese spin on classic American dishes. Go with the $25 prix fixe meal – it’s a great value.

Recipe

A trendy Parisian café that’s a perfect hangout for after dinner drinks or Sunday brunch. We recommend the Grilled New York Strip Steak with duck fat chips.

Heights Café

Trendy and delicious, go when the weather is right for sitting outside. We recommend the Grilled Asian Chicken Salad.

Café Lalo

Self-proclaimed as the most famous café in NY – it was in You’ve Got Mail. Open until 2am (Fri & Sat until 4am) makes it the perfect place to go after a show or a late date. It’s a little pricey and cash only.

I Tre Merli Bistro

A hidden treat with it’s cramped feel that creates an intimate yet enjoyable dining experience. Enjoy Gnocchi Al Pesto as you people watch on the streets.

Iris Café

A great café for sipping an iced-coffee while reading or relaxing on a lazy afternoon. The avocado sandwich is out of this world. Bring cash because they don’t accept credit cards.

Idlewild Wine Bar

Craving a pre-flight glass of wine, then grab a seat here and sample some of the featured Hudson Valley varietals.  Love the sidewalk café setting.
