This is just like your college dive bar, with cheap buckets of PBR, Big Buck Hunter, Beer Pong and bartenders that won’t let you leave in a less than intoxicated state.

It might have been better (and cheaper) when it was a hole-in-the-wall across the street, but the fried whiting, mac n’ cheese and collar greens are to die for.

We’re longtime fans of this old school lounge that full of personality and cheap drinks.  Its even better when there’s a live band playing.

This is THE place to catch young artists giving it their all – the shows are great, the patrons and staff are really friendly and the booze is cheap.

Great place for a cheap and delicious meal – albeit a little on the greasy side.  Delivery of boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice will show up before you hang up the phone.

 

Salimata

Another Harlem hidden gem serving delicious (although oily) Guinean food!  The portions are enormous and very cheap.  They’re also open late and only take cash!

 

Mooncake Foods

Fun and casual comfort food spot where most entrees are under $10 and served lightning quick. Start with the Edamame with sea salt and then enjoy their selection of dumplings. Be careful – it closes early.

 

Rawhide

A no-attitude establishment with some of the friendliest bartenders in NYC, serving some of the cheapest drinks.  Just ignore the gruff exterior, and the dark interior.

 

The Ritz

Fun nautical themed bar with outdoor drinking up front, a dance-floor in the back and on the second floor on weekends.  Relaxed and cheap happy hour during the week.

 

Posh

Small gay bar that packs a potent punch.  Get a drink and go outside on a nice night.  Or stay inside for the nightly shows, games, drink specials and general debauchery.

 

RockBar

Awesomely cheap drinks and a diverse crowd make this a place to always have a good time.  Definitely come for the Trivia and Karaoke nights.

 

The Monster

A relaxed pub featuring a dance floor downstairs, piano bar entertainers upstairs and the best bartenders slinging cheap happy hour drinks and frozen margaritas.

 

The Boiler Room

Come here with your boys for some drunken fun at their Happy Hour from 10pm to 4am when well drinks are $3.75 and the cheesy & fun pop music is blasting.

 

Veronica People’s Club

Cute bar serving delicious Americano coffee, strong espresso and good cheap beers and strong drinks.  Love the interior built from old school desks.

 

Shayz Lounge
