One of the better options in the area – order the Mozzarella Bar, it’s all homemade and delicious!  The Meatballs Pomodoro are perfection.

 

Local West

A great spot to enjoy rooftop drinks before or after a game, or to sit and watch a game on one of their countless TVs.  The French Onion Burger is our go to food here.

 

Lucy’s Cantina Royale

Full of commuters during the week – but you should still stop in and try their Cactus Rose or Baja Iced Tea cocktails, which should be enjoyed outside on the patio!

 

Chef Yu

Stop in for a lightening fast meal before heading to MSG.  The ambiance is very chic and the food is quite good – get the Beef and Broccoli.

 

Aura Thai Fusion Cuisine

Small Thai spot offers a great happy hour (50% off your drinks) as well as respectable pad thai and great tom yum soup.

 

The Parlour

Lots of space makes it perfect for a large birthday party, but you might be left wanting, as the service is horrendous.

 

The Distinguished Wakamba Cocktail Lounge

One of our favorite dive/tiki bars in all five boroughs.  Start at 8am with the old men or come later for great jukebox tunes, trashy bartenders and a lot of dancing!

 

Molly Wee Pub

This seems to be where all the Rangers fans congregate pre, during and post-game.  Enjoy a few cold beers, watch the game and eat some good mozzarella sticks.

 

Ming Du Restaurant & Bakery

Join the lines in the morning for their red bean filled cakes.  Or come after 3pm for tea and roast pork buns.

 

Krispy Kreme

The only location in NYC for our favorite doughnuts.  Just get a dozen of the original glazed and set aside a few gym days to work off these diet busters.

 

Garrett Popcorn Shop

We got a bag of the Chicago Mix as a gift, and we literally could not stop eating it!  Just be warned, that the cheese will stain your fingers and anything you touch.

Completely hidden gem is tucked away in a freight elevator entrance.  Get here early for lunch (his food sells out fast) and enjoy stewed chicken, beef stew or goat.

If you’re not looking, you could easily miss this tiny shop and miss out on fantastic arepas – try the Pernil, Choriqueso or the Vegetariana.  It’s all very easy on the wallet.
