MTA Subway: Astor Place (4/6)

Looking for a quicker way to exit the station – go through Kmart, there’s an entrance to the store right there.

Washington Square Park

One of the most iconic parks in NYC and one of it’s most notorious.  Currently going through a massive renovation, but that hasn’t kept the people away!

Jefferson Market Garden

Not always open – afternoon from May to October – but well worth making a special trip to take a tour of this amazingly manicured garden.

Village Vanguard

Home to Jazz for over 70 years and still showcasing some of the best talent in the world.  Make sure you arrive early for your reservation – you just might lose your seat.

Bayard’s Ale House

A grown-up bar that is perfect to sit, relax and have a few beers (the list is extensive) and the bar food is pretty delicious.  Try the soup of the day or the combo platter.

Yamuna

Sign up for a Ball Rolling class and be amazed at how much you can work out all your aches and pains in a short amount of time.  The studio is great and the teachers are amazing!

Wallse

Enjoy the chic and minimalist décor during your delicious Brunch of Steak Rosti, Spatzle with Braised Rabbit or Wiener Schnitzel. Their Bloody Mary is a must!

The Other Room

One of our favorite bars for a low-key drink or a romantic rendezvous with a hefty wine selection and an extensive list of beers!

Casa La Femme

The ambiance is really wonderful here – especially the décor and the great belly dancer.  However, the food is mediocre at best and the service leaves a lot to be desired.

Mojo Coffee

Fell like your stepping into the Pacific Northwest in this wood-lined coffee shop!  It’s a great place to study and enjoy cup of joe.  It’s cash only and gets pretty crowded.

Lion

Once you get a reservation, you’ll be treated to a fun and interesting dining experience.  Get a custom cocktail and then have the ‘Special Blend’ Burger or the Delmonico Steak!

Funayama Japanese

If you feel like gorging yourself on Sushi, then come here on Mondays & Thursday for their All You Can Eat special – just know that they’ll charge you extra for what you don’t eat!

Baddies

Step into a trippy red atmosphere and enjoy cocktails served in fancy glasses – whatever the name of the tequila, mint and cucumber drinks is, you must get it!

Lowcountry

You’ll enjoy the atmosphere and the food at this Southern join – get the Shrimp & Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes and Pulled Pork Sliders.  However, the service is very disappointing.

Jack’s Coffee

This is one of our favorite coffee houses in all of Manhattan – don’t know if it’s the stir brew, but the brew is excellent.  As is the Chai Tea Latte and all their baked goods…homemade Oreo!
