Riverside Park

Another great place to enjoy a great run or bike ride.  For those more adventurous types, you can go Kayaking or dive in for a triathlon-training swim.

Rack & Soul

Grab a seat in a booth and order up succulent BBQ Baby Back Ribs (go for the half rack) with a side of black-eyed peas and candied yams.  Or get the famous Fried Chicken.

Le Baobab

Delicious Senegalese food, although the service is not great.  Try one of their daily lunch specials (weekends too)…a whole lot of food for $10.  Try the Thiebu Djen, it’s awesome.

Billie’s Black Bar Lounge

The service is slow, but the food is delicious and you’re sure to have a good time.  Try the fried catfish or the BBB Burger!  The décor in the bathroom is not suitable for children.

Melba’s

It’s kind of a secret, but Melba’s has the best soul food around.  This tiny and friendly place serves awesome Chicken & Waffles, Mac n’ Cheese and Candied Yams.

Africa Kine

The food here is shockingly good, with large portions of lamb in a rich peanut sauce or chicken with couscous.  Check out their $10 lunch specials too!

Salimata

Another Harlem hidden gem serving delicious (although oily) Guinean food!  The portions are enormous and very cheap.  They’re also open late and only take cash!

Lee Lee’s baked Goods

A hidden gem in Harlem that might have the best Rugleach in all of the five boroughs. It’s worth the trip to enjoy the flaky and slightly crunch delight filled with raisins and cinnamon.

Mama’s Fried Chicken

Cheap and greasy and delicious Fried Chicken – it could be the perfect hangover cure.

Lido

Check out this intimate Italian joint for brunch for perfectly poached eggs and a delicious frittata! You also can’t go wrong with their $10 bottomless mimosa!

Levain Bakery

We love their decision to keep it simple and do it amazingly well!  There’s only four cookie options, but they’re all amazing (Chocolate Chip Walnut).  Get a blueberry muffin too!!

M60 Bus

This is the most economical way to get to the airport – catch it from 116th street and Broadway and it’s a free transfer from the subway.  Travel time is about 40 minutes.

Kitchenette Uptown

Delicious homestyle breakfast! Try the Farmhouse Breakfast or anything from the Griddle – like Blackberry Cherry Pancakes, Gingerbread Pancakes or French Toast!

Joe The Art of Coffee

A much better alternative to Starbucks – with a smooth and rich coffee. Pair it with a delicious muffin. Or take some beans home to brew it yourself.

Max Soha

Casual and welcoming trattoria! Start with the Crostino con Carciofi and then move on to the spectacular Linguini del Pescatore or the Baccala al Forno.
