Barrow Street Theatre

A great theater where you shouldn’t be surprised to see the actors moving all around you.

Minetta Lane Theater

A small theater hidden away on a tiny street that offers a cozy and intimate theater going experience.  Afterwards, hit up any of the nearby bars and restaurants.

Cherry Lane Theater

Beautiful and very small theater that attracts some big-time talent.  The acoustics are so great and you sit so close you really feel like you’re part of the action.

Hudson River Park

This is definitely one of our favorite places to enjoy a scenic (and FLAT) run or bike ride – just pay attention to the separate pedestrian and bike lanes and you’ll be fine.

The Duplex

Sit at the bar downstairs and get sloshed while a comedian heckles you.  Or go upstairs for a wonderfully fun cabaret act.

Village Vanguard

Home to Jazz for over 70 years and still showcasing some of the best talent in the world.  Make sure you arrive early for your reservation – you just might lose your seat.

Bone Lick Park

Come for brunch and wash down your order of Fried Chicken with Cheddar Grits with an hour of unlimited frozen margaritas (or bloody mary’s or mimosas).

The New French

Mellow staff and music make the food at this place even more enjoyable.  We highly recommend the Pulled Pork Sandwich, the Clam Bake or the TNF Burger.

Hangar Bar

A tiny – and packed - bar featuring some of the friendliest bartenders in NYC who serve cheap and potent drinks.  You’re sure to walk out of here with a few new friends.

Baoguette Pho Sure

If you’re here then you must have one of the Banh Mi sandwiches, our favorite is the Classic made extra spicy.  Try the Sloppy Bao as well. Service is fast and slightly abrupt.

Malatesta Trattoria

Outstanding Italian food served by cute and charming Italian waiters. Grab a table outside and dive into a plate of Spinach Gnocchi and a side of Meatballs. Make a reservation!

Sweet Life Café

Enjoy a great greasy-spoon brunch at this lovely diner.  Order the Lumber Jack Special and a hot cup of coffee which John and Dalli will serve to you in the blink of an eye.

Gaetana’s Cucina Italiana

A great Italian restaurant, with a charming and nostalgic décor, that’s perfect for a fun dinner with a group of friends.  Try the Lasagna Bolognese or the Pumpkin Ravioli.

Hudson Falafel

The falafel here is hit or miss, but when it’s on, it’s on!  Get it with a side order of Stuffed Cabbage. For dinner, try the BBQ Chicken.

Cowgirl

You haven’t lived until you’ve had the Frito Pie!  We also enjoy the good strong drinks, the friendly service and the Chicken Fried Steak.  One of our favorite themed restaurants in NYC.
